I know that approximately $245 million were spent to stop legislation for health care reform. But I need to know how much money was spent in order to get legislation for health care reform.

  1. zzsleepur says:

In the first nine months of 2009, $422 million was spent on healthcare lobbyists, 10 percent more than in the same period of 2008. That doesn’t include the $122 million that health insurers lavished on lobbyists, or other amounts spent by groups like the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, which opposes healthcare reform and has historically spent more on lobbying than any other organization. The total cost of lobbying Congress and other branches of the federal government is on track to break last year’s record of $3.3 billion

THIS however is not the money spent on the back door deals in Dec…including the 90 million bozo made with the pharamacies to keep Canadian Drugs out of this country in return for their support…and the deals made with the 17 states…you know…cornhusker deal ..the lousianna purchase etc…..MILLIONS MORE in those deals…and I am not sure how much the other 15 states got. zzsleepur

  3. Who Else? says:

Zero – universal health care was taken “off the table” before the debate even began. Nobody lobbied for or against it, even though it’s probably the best approach. Who Else?
