There’s a lot of talk in Washington about increased federal spending on health care. Can anyone give me some numbers(like percentages and statistics) and some sites that show how much power the government ALREADY has in health care? Thank you.

I know that approximately $245 million were spent to stop legislation for health care reform. But I need to know how much money was spent in order to get legislation for health care reform.

I have heard a lot of talk about the democrats refusing any republican ideas on health care reform but they never mention what the ideas where.
What would I search for to get a semi accurate portrayal of the republicans ideas for health care reform.
I want to see cost come down a lot. what do the republicans plan to do to address costs, lower costs.
No answer and an answer that is basically no answer is not what I want to see.

In health care there is nothing in the bill about tort reform which is the biggest reason for the high cost of health care.

Do you think this is a good approach to all the US problems with Health care insurance or do you feel this is just another ploy to simply strip us of our freedom of choice? Do you think it’s right that illegal immigrants living in the US may possibly benefit from this as well? What are your thoughts?

Could we start a ground swell to create a new constitutional amendment that would make it illegal and cause for immediate removal from office if any member of either house of congress has Health Coverage that is better that the poorest of the poor in America? Isn’t it HMO’s, Insurance Companies, and their influences and lobbies that make sure that the very rich and the power brokers have the best health care simply because they can afford it or legislate it for themselves.
