Though Kerala is a model state in the field of education and health, the alarmingly increasing cases of diabetics, heart diseases and cancer & the huge medical spending by the people indicate something has gone wrong with Keralites life style. Holistic health care can do a lot to mitigate this situation.I am keen to implement my ideas by starting a holistic/alternate health care education center.

Do you prefer to receive you health enhancing care at an office or a spa? At a retreat or in your neighborhood? What health care treatments do you use to ‘feel better’?

I am shopping for health insurance for my family (my husband, myself, and our baby). I believe that chiropractic care is an important part of wellness, but I’m having a hard time finding a program that sufficiently covers chiropractic work. Any suggestions? Anyone have an insurance plan that has great chiropractic coverage?

I have always been extremely interested in alternative health techniques and treatments. I am currently in a very good job that I am not really crazy about. I would like to move into the alternative health field and would like to eventually open a health food store and small health spa. I know it is a process but I want to know where I can start. As far as I know (and I could be wrong) there is no school to go to learn alternative health. I don’t know where to start learning and how. Also for the learning process I need to work around my full time job as I don’t have the option to not work as I need the income. I really want to start learning about this field and just need some suggestions on where and how to start. Is there perhaps a way to be like an apprentice to an alternative practitioner?
