Are politicians too stupid to know the difference between health coverage and health care?

Gaspode asked:

Or are they counting on the voters being too stupid to know that tax supported health coverage will raise the already indecent prices fixed by the medical industry and end up with less health care than ever?

Should we take free health care away from the politicians since they are so out of touch with reality?

I think for politicians, health coverage and health care are one in the same. Take Sen. Tim Johnson, he suffered from cerebral arteriovenous malformation and had major brain surgery at Washington University Hospital and Bethesda. Now, I am not an expert but i would be surprised that he ever saw a bill. The fact that he is a democrat means nothing as both sides of the isle share the same, elite health coverage.
It is a fact that most of the bankruptcies in this country are for medical reasons and most of those are people WITH health insurance.
I think they might think different if they had standard coverage with deductibles and an insurance carrier that is hell bent on making sure they pay for as little of your bill as possible and do everything in their power to limit your coverage. All the while they are at home trying to recover and the hospital is sicking the dogs on them for money due…

I would love to see any Republican or Democrat spend a year on Kaiser, Blue Cross or Aetna

I think it is just another form of corruption… anim367

I think they know the difference quite well but believe the voters to be too stupid to know that health care is for the people but health coverage is just a way to give our tax dollars to insurance companies and raise the prices of the medical business.

Both the Kennedy and the Bush families as well as others have spent nothing for the best health care available any place in the world for several generations. loup-garou

Not only should their free health care be taken away, they should have to work for miminum wage!!!! Let’s see how they would afford health care then. I bet they would start working on universal health care then. Michael B
